Personal Assistance with ADL's
Activities of daily living is a term used in medicine and nursing, especially in the care of the elderly.
(ADLs) are the things we normally do in daily living, including any daily activity we perform for self-care (such as feeding ourselves, bathing, dressing, grooming), work, homemaking, and leisure.
Diabetes Management Care
Diabetes is a chronic disease with no cure as of 2009. It is associated with an impaired glucose cycle, altering metabolism. Management of this disease may include lifestyle modifications such as achieving and maintaining proper weight, diet, exercise and foot care.
Health Condition Care
Providing care in a variety of area's such as Arthritis, Asthma, Kidney and bladder problems, Glaucoma, Lung disease, Cataracts, Osteoporosis, Enlarged prostate, Macular degeneration and many other conditions.
Medication Management
Typical, relatively healthy senior takes 4 to 5 prescription medications and 2 over-the-counter medications per day. Those seniors with more complex conditions may take 12 to 15 medications. Many health conditions arise from inconsistancies or improper medication doses. Medication management ensures the resident recieves the proper medication at the correct dose consistantly. Residents are monitered for adverse reactions to medication and affects of multiple medications.
Behavioral Support
Coaching and prompting of residents to perform their personal care functions, activities and self medication when appropriate.
Recreational Activities
Bingo Nights, Shopping Trips, Casino trips, Arts and Crafts, Exercise.
Note
Residents may contract with an outside agency to
provide services within our facility.
Housekeeping
Daily room housekeeping, Laundry room available or Laundry Services.
